Tuesday 29 January 2008

day 29

"Always leave enough room in your life to do something that makes you happy, satisfied, or even joyous." Paul Hawken

I really had to sit and think about what do I love but don't often get the time, no sorry take the time to do! Reading, I adore reading but these days I seldom take the time to read much at all. I always do on holiday, but I must make an effort to do more reading just for the sake of it. I read loads for work and scrapping mags and books do ok but I am going to ensure I fit in a book a month just for me. At least that's a start.

Monday 28 January 2008

"You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together and blow." To have and have not.

Oh my dear child, we have tried and tried to teach Dee to whistle it's taken years, she can now whistle quite well, but tunefully...

My start of a diet this week to aim to lose over 1/4 of my body weight, means this is my idea of a box of chocolates, and I know exactly what I'm going to get!

day 24

"Today, I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth." Pride of the Yankees

I am so lucky to have these two people in my life, my darling husband and sweetheart daughter make everything worthwhile.

" I am beautiful no matter what they say"

Well I wouldn't go that far but I can see a glimmer of potential.

day 4

Ollie will never be Skip, but he really has grown on me. It's really time you came higher up the priority list Ol. So here's my promise to you - I will try to take you out at least twice a week and I'll badger Chris to keep up with the rest.

day 3

" Life is too short to worry about little imperfections".

I don't really worry about these part webbed toes or my un-level eyes, but it really is time I worried about my weight.

day 2

How have I let this happen to me? I really must practise what I preach. I'll use this as motivational preparation.

day 1

"A day without laughter is a day wasted" Charles Chaplin.

2008 Goals:

Get Mum's eyes sorted and her ears.

Get Dad's knees done and change his car.

Lose weight and improve my fitness.
